belly x-ray tetra! Help me!? I have two issues here actually....
I HAD 6 Red Belly X-Ray (Pristella) Tetra that were doing fine. I added a dwarf gourami about 4 days ago. There are really two issues I have...
1. About two days after I added the Dwarf Gourami I noticed this white patch with darkness on the top center part of its head. It appears to be slightly indented and about 2 mm or so in size with darker, reddish area immediately surrounding it. He swims fine and is behaving completely normally. It does not appear to be hole-in-the head disease or any of the other normal things I have seen. He did not hurt himself on the tank heater or something like that. It has been growing in size slightly since I first noticed it.
This link shows pictures similar to what my dwarf gourami might be. I am scared it might be Mycobacterium marinum. http://www.aquariumadvice.com/forums/f17/gourami-with-white-raised-lesion-on-head-136777.html
2. About 1-2 days after I noticed the dwarf gourami with the patch, my red-bellied x-ray tetra started dying off. The first one was sucked up against the filter with no markings on it. I thought maybe something fluke happened and he got sucked against it. It was one of the smaller ones. But then, today I saw one of my tetras floating all around, up and down, in the tank dead and the WHOLE body is COMPLETELY white. There is another one in the tank that is looking like it is going to have the same problem. Right now the whole tail section, minus the fins themselves, is completely white. Both that fish and another one also seem to have lost their silver belly lining on the inside and are starting to turn whitish in the inside of the guts and head portion of the body. Both of them appear to be having trouble swimming now too. When I say they are white, I mean a very, very opaque true white... maybe slightly translucent but mainly opaque white. It only is translucent on the main bodies/guts of where it appears to be starting to affect the fish. I have not been able to find ANY pictures of these like it. It seems to be affecting my fish rapidly.
HELP ME!!! What do my fish have? I feel like there might be two diseases in my fish tank that I will have to completely clean my tank and start anew!
