Im not a huge huggy person, but it seems like everyone is doing it these days...what are some cute/cool alternatives to hugging and handshakes? i was thinking the french kiss thing, one on each side of the cheek, is that wierd? lemme know!!!! ;) oh, and i don't want them to be completely awkward or strange..just thought i'd throw that in!

it's not french kiss french kiss is just like what u see in movies where there's so much romance and all that. i guess u just have to use the "one on each side of the cheek", i know many people who do that. :)

high fives!!!! XD

french kisses are only for the french. They have close body contact when talking to each other too.

There was a Seinfeld ep about this but this is a family board so I can't go into the details. In the business world it's still a handshake. The French style kiss is fine in France and among some ppl in LA, but elsewhere, it might be misunderstood.

I expect you could bow to them as do the Japanese, or shake their hand followed by some hand sanitizer.

A French kiss by the way is not kissing on each cheek. I think the cheek kissing thing is done by Mafiosi who are bidding farewell to an errant comrade who needs to be eliminated. A "French Kiss" is an extended exploration of the oral cavity of the other person. That WOULD be weird, especially if you object to hugging.

One thing you dont want to do is grab their crotch, me and my high school friends used to that all the time. i dont know why but it was always like "oh hey" lol. You can give them a high five or something. kiss greetings are creepy, reminds me of my grandmothers who grab you and squeeze you and kiss you on the face its just *shivers* . Maybe try a booty slap? i dont know lol
