hey guys sorry i just installed nicole dating sim on my comp but for some reason the howler refuses to work and it gives me a failed mssg each time. btw the game version is 1.0.5 (the latest ver) so i'd be happy if someone could perhaps upload the persistent file or propose a better solution for using the howler.

oh thank you dear anon! but i actually solved the problem w/o the persistent file. i'll give a brief explanation in case anyone else encounters the same problem as i did.
basically, i restarted my computer and disconnected from the internet, then i opened the howler and typed my mail in the register section. and ta-da! it worked.
maybe i was supposed to do that all along but i didn't know so in case anyone needs this 'basic' information i shall put it here.

It has Lloyd's route to summaries. Doubt it'll have voices until the finished product.

yes, you are suppose to do that. sometimes, there is instructions file/txt included beside the howler. you could omit the restart step though. just do the 3 steps you mention, you'll be fine. which are disconnect the internet, open the howler & register. just reporting to verify this cases.

whoa it just got released a day ago. i doubt anyone will upload it that soon and besides i think it's best to give the creators a chance to make some money off their hard work.
not that i'm against piracy or something lol.

DISCLAIMER:
Mediafire, Mega, Chinese upload and download sites like Baidu, 2shared, 4shared, Filecloud etc are banned in my country. Also Mediafire, Filecloud.io and 4shared are known for deleting accounts that have files the company thinks are pirated and infringe copyright. The basic rule of these sites is that if a file has high traffic (i.e. many people downloading), the company will think it is copyrighted stuff and delete the file AND THEN delete the uploader's account. I say this because I have seen people complain that it is unfair of the uploader to delete files before they can download them. It is not the fault of the uploaders. If you ever have a link on those sites that used to work but don't any more, this is the reason.

I can only use sendspace for this reason too. If you cannot use sendspace, please ask someone else to mirror the links below for you.

All sendspace links WILL DIE AFTER 30 days. IF the game developers complain about my links to the sendspace company, then sendspace will delete the files really fast - either in a matter of hours or days. So get them while the links are fresh.


CAVEAT
i) Because many people do not know what I mean when I say "unzip", it is when you use winrar/7zip to get the file compressed inside a zip/rar/7z file. i am saying this because i have received complaints about my "weird" language preventing them from knowing what to do with a file post-download.
ii) when i say a file is "zipped", i mean the file has been compressed with winrar/winzip/7zip into a smaller file. you need to "unzip" it to get to the game inside. think of it as a box that is sealed, hence "zipped". when you want to get the object in the box, you must cut the tape and open the box, hence "unzipping".
iii) MAKE SURE you have the latest winrar. Winrar is free, search google for it, download it, install it, and all that on your own.
iv) IF the file is a 7z file, you will need to search google for 7zip, download it, install it etc BEFORE you can unzip a 7zip file.


CHANGE WEBSITE ADDRESS - HOW TO

Replace (dot) with a real dot/period/full stop.

I stress this NOW because people have told me LOTS that my links don't work when they copy and paste it "as is" into their address bar, despite me telling people to change the website address.


WARNING

A) This is VERSION 1 only. Do not whinge if this is NOT what you want. This is the only copy I have. I am saying this because I usually get complaints about this.
B) This means there will be bugs.
C) Specifically, in the "extras" section or whatever it is called, you WILL NOT get the special picture/credit/medal/whatever when you trade cards with the black marketeer.
D) I am also making this clear NOW because people have complained about this in the past AND accused me of sharing a defective copy, EVEN THOUGH I stated that this version has this specific bug.


INSTRUCTIONS

1) please check file size after downloading. sometimes your computer will say download has completed when it MOST CERTAINLY HAS NOT.
Sometimes your computer or internet will say that it has finished downloading a file even though the reverse is true. For example, you may want to download a 100mb file, but your computer or internet says that the download is complete at 70mb. The result is that you have a file less than 100mb in size. This means your file is of an incomplete size.

When that happens, no matter how you unzip the files, you will be doomed to failure. This is because your computer is trying to unzip an incomplete file. Because it cannot unzip an incomplete file, the task will fail. Your computer will say the file is corrupt, you have CRC error, and that your unzipping attempt has failed.

2) the onus is on you to check the file size listed on the website and compare it to file size of the segment you downloaded. Please STOP saying I am inconveniencing you this way by "giving you more work to do". Yes, I am saying this because people have complained about this and accused me of sharing a defective game AND accused me of giving a useless download link that always results in a corrupted file

3) If you have the correct file size as stated on the sendspace site BUT unzipping fails repeatedly, it means you are using an old version of winrar.
= files that have been compressed/zipped with the newest winrar cannot be opened by older versions of winrar. that is the way it is. DO NOT say i am giving you more work by making you search the internet for winrar, download it, installing it etc, taking away time you could have spent gaming. YES, i have been accused of this many times before.
= this is why i keep stressing MAKE SURE you have the latest winrar for windows.
= you don’t know what version of winrar you have, think back to the last time you downloaded winrar to install on your computer.
= If you do not remember EVER installing winrar or if the last time you visited the official winrar website to download and install winrar was more than 1 year ago, then you have the older version of winrar. Go to google and search for “winrar”. Download and install it.

also, if your computer says the game is a virus or whatever, it is a false positive. a lot of pre-cracked games produce that results in computers. accept that fact and deal with it.

the only way around it is to turn off ALL your antivirus thingies when you install AND play the game.
 
Not uploader of LLTQ, but answering your question since i downloaded it from torrents to play the game and the 4shared link tells me that it is the same copy as the one I got from torrents.

The LLTQ version is from 2013. I don't know what version number that is. It has the "chibi" death pictures, but it does not have the Aug 2014 updates.
 
Can someone please help me? I've been using Winter Wolves Howler for as long as I can remember and it was working perfectly fine until today. Every time I try to open it I get the message "Winter Wolves Howler has stopped working." Any useful advice is appreciated. :)
