HOW TO UPLOAD TO MEGA

* Assumes you are using windows and chrome. Example below is windows-based and chrome. Example below uses a fake example with a fake file called "apple pie recipe.docx".

*If you are not windows user, I cannot help you or teach you. the steps below should also work in firefox. If you don't understand what I mean, I cannot help you either because I really cannot make my examples any simpler.
1) Download the files.
2) Put them somewhere you can see on your desktop. I suggest making a new folder on your desktop called "uploads" and put all files that you want to mirror inside that folder
3) Go to the mega website. it is mega(dot)nz. change (dot) to a real dot/period/full stop when inputting the address to the address bar of your browser.
4) sign up for a mega account. at the top right hand side, look for the words "create account". click them
5) fill in all the boxes. you can use a fake a name, but your email must be real and one that you use a lot. after you are done, click the box that says "i agree to the terms of service" or something similar. if you do it correctly, that box will become a tick.
6) after that, click "create account"
7) after that, you will get a pop-up that says you must check your email to confirm your mega account.
8) in a new tab in your browser, check the email address that you used to create this account. look everywhere inside your email account. sometimes, this message can end up in spam or in somewhere unexpected. look for the message that says " mega account activation required" or something similar. click this message when you see it. after that, look for a red button that says "activate account". if the red button with those words do not work, then copy the address you see below that button and paste it into another new tab in your browser. then press enter on your keyboard
9) if you do this right, you will have a new tab that has just opened in your browser. in it, you will have to input the password you used to sign up for your mega account. memorise this password because once lost, it will be lost forever.
10) after you input your password, click the "confirm your account" button
11) done correctly, you will be taken a page where you must choose your account type. look for the words "free" or "free account". This is the 50gb one. make sure it is FREE. choose this option by clicking it. wait for a few seconds to 2 mins.
12) done correctly, the page will refresh automatically. look at the right hand size, at the top. you will see a green button that says "free". that means you have correctly set up a free account in mega. click it and you will see a drop down menu that says you have not uploaded anything, you have not used your uploading bandwidth etc.
13) inside this menu, look for the words "manage account" or something similar inside a button. click this button. you will be taken to a new page. click the "free" green button again for the menu to go away
14) look at the extreme left hand side. you will see the word "feedback". ignore it and keep looking left on your screen until you see a circle with an M inside. when you find it look below that circle with the M. you will see a vertical column with icons such as a cloud shaped icon, a folder with three heads icon and so on. notice that at the very, very, very bottom of this column, you will see a circle with two arrows that are pointing up and down inside it. i will call this circle with the two arrows the "check upload and download" button. memorise that. now, move your eyes up on the left hand side and look for the cloud shaped icon. click the cloud shaped icon
13) done correctly, you will see the words in the middle of your screen saying something like "empty cloud drive", meaning your account is empty and has no files
14) minimise your browser. go to your desktop and open the folder with the files you want to upload. click and drag them into the empty space that says "empty cloud drive" in your browser. done correctly, you will get a grey box at the bottom of your screen saying that X number of files have been added to the transfer/upload queue. pretend that you want to upload only 1 file called "apple pie recipe.docx". you do what i have just said to upload it.
15) wait for "apple pie recipe" to upload. do this by going to the bottom left hand side and looking for the circle with two arrows that are pointing up and down inside it. this is the "check upload and download" button. clocl it. you will be taken to a page where you can see your file being uploaded. it will have other info like your upload speed, file size, etc.
16) when upload finishes, look at the file name. now, pan your eyes slowly to the right of the file name until you reach the extreme right hand side. done correctly, you will see a green tick and the word "completed". when that hapens, look for the words "clear upload" somewhere at the top right hand side.
17) now, go back to the left hand side and look for the cloud shape icon. click it and you will at a new page. you will now see the file you have succeeded uploaded there. right click the file name (in this case, the file "apple pie recipe") and you will get a black menu.
18) in this black menu, look for the option "get link" and click it. you will get a copyright warning message. click "i agree". wait for the system to work. it take several minutes. be patient.
19) you will now get a popup. look at the top left hand side of this pop up, look for word that says "export". you will see a button with "file/folder link" and an arrow pointing down, under the word "export". click this button and choose the option "full link".
20) when done correctly, you will see that under the word "export", the button with the arrow pointing down now says "full link"
21) look at the bottom of the popup, you will now see a very long http address that includes the decryption key. minimise browser
22) open wordpad/notepad in your computer. type in file name in wordpad. in this example, you type in "apple pie recipe" and then press enter on keyboard to create a space
23) maximise browser. the popup with the link in mega should still be there. click the button "copy". you will get a message that says you have successfully copied file address
24) paste it inside the wordpad document.
25) press enter twice on keyboard. type in new file name. save wordpad file.
26) open another different browser such as firefox or opera, paste the new link you have just copied into the address bar there
27) press enter on keyboard.
28) wait for page to load
29) try to download. this is how you test your link to see if (a) it works, (b) upload was successful. if it works, good.
30) close firefox. go back to chrome where your have uploaded "apple pie recipe". your popup with the link is still there. close the popup by clicking the "x" button at the top right hand side of it.
31) upload another file by starting the process from step 14 to 30.

HOW TO UPLOAD TO MEDIAFIRE

* Assumes you are using windows and chrome (browser).

1) Download the files you want to mirror
2) Put them somewhere you can see on your desktop. I suggest making a new folder on your desktop called "uploads" and put all files that you want to mirror inside that folder. For example, I want to upload an apple pie recipe today in a word document and I have lots of other recipes in word documents to upload as well, so I will create a folder called "recipes" and put all the recipe documents I want to upload into this folder.
3) Go to the mediafire (MF) website. it is www(dot)mediafire(dot)com. change (dot) to a real dot/period/full stop when inputting the address to the address bar of your browser.
4) Do you have an MF account? If you do, log in. The option to do this is somewhere on the top right hand side of the screen. After that, go to step 20
5) If you don't have an MF account, make a Mediafire account. This is very useful because having a MF account and being logged into it before and during times when you are downloading from MF will reduce the number of times you will see/fill in Captcha before downloading. If you don't know what Captcha is, it is that thing where they show you a picture and ask you to type in the word/number/item in the picture to prove you are a human before you can download a file/access the file. By having an MF account and logging into it beforre downloading from MF, you will not completely get rid of all captcha, but you will see it much less frequently.
6) Look at the top right hand side. Look for the button with the words "sign up" and click it.
7) You will be at a new page that asks you to choose what kind of account you want. Choose "Basic" by clicking it. It is the free one that is 10gb.
8) You will now be at another page where you have to fill in your details. All boxes must be filled in. You can give a fake name, but the email address you write here must be one that you use lots. Click the box that says you will agree to all MF's rules and terms/conditions, do this correctly and that tiny box will have a tick inside. After you have done all of this, click "i am not a robot" so that there is a tick here too. After you say that you are not a robot, you will need to prove this. MF forces you to do this by giving you a popup to choose pictures. do it correctly and you will be back in the "i want to join, let me fill in all my details" stage. don't fill in anything as you have done that already. instead click the big blue button at very bottom of the page that says "create account and continue"
9) After that, you will be taken to a new page where MF wants to force you to download its app. DO NOT let this happen. Say no. Do this by very quickly looking for the words that say something like "i don't want this. let me go to where i can manage my files" or "skip this and go to manage files". I don't know the exact words, but look for the words that convey the same meaning.
10) After you find the correct words and click them, you will be taken to a new page. there will be white popup welcoming you to MF. read whatever it says and memorise it. it teaches you how to use MF. when you have memorised everything, close the popup
11) you will get another popup asking you install something else. say no, and keep saying no whenever this happens. if the choice to say no is not there, just keep closing the popup asking you install stuff.
12) minimise browser. remember what I said in Step 9 about MF forcing you to download its app whether you want to or not? even if you say no and you want to skip it, it will download anyway. but the good news is that it will not automatically install. go to the folder in your computer where all downloads always end up. this app will be somewhere in this folder. once you find it, delete it permanently.
13) now that you have done that, maximise browser. you will be in your MF account. on the left hand side is a vertical black column. if "getting started" is lit up and gives you a menu that says "get desktop", "get mediafire mobile" etc, click the "x" button to close it.
14) beside the black column is a skinny vertical white column with very small words. ignore it.
15) go to the third and final vertical white column. it is the biggest. you will see lots of folders and a file about getting started. delete them. do that by clicking the tiny squares in front of those big words in the biggest column. those tiny squares will now have ticks and all those folders/files will be highlighted in pink/orange.
16) at the top of your screen you will see a bar that is in pink/orange. look for the "move to trash" choice and click it. when it asks if you are sure, say yes by clicking it
17) when done correctly, look at your third fattest column. it now says "folder empty". look at skinny 2nd column. there is a rubbish bin picture that says "6 items of trash" or something like. click it. you will now be at a new page. look for the "empty" button. click it. say yes when it asks if you are sure. wait for rubbish bin to be emptied. once that is done, close browser.
18) now open browser again. log into your email address that you used to sign up and confirm your MF account. this message can be in spam, so look everywhere for this email. once you find it, do whatever the message says to confirm your account. you must do this before you upload or download anything. if you don't, whatever you do with your MF account will fail
19) you will click the link in the email message to confirm your account. do this and you will be taken to a new page. do whatever the instructions on the page says. after that, there will be a button somewhere that says "verify email". click it.
20) after that, you will be taken to your MF account. if there is a white popup telling you "welcome", close it. you will see three vertical columns. Black column on left, middle skinny white column and biggest white column on the right.
21) if you have never used your MF account before, you will see the biggest column on the right is empty. if you have used MF before to upload, there will be files in this third, biggest column.
22) minimise your browser. go to your desktop and open the folder with the files you want to upload. click and drag them into the empty space that says "empty cloud drive" in your browser. done correctly, you will get a grey box at the bottom of your screen saying that X number of files have been added to the transfer/upload queue. pretend that you want to upload only 1 file called "apple pie recipe.docx". go to your desktop, open the recipes folder, click on "apple pie recipe" and and drag it into the chrome browser into the biggest white column in the MF tab
23) done correctly, you will get a blue box telling you "you have chosen a file to uploaded" or something like that. the words are different, but the meaning is roughly the same.
24) when upload finishes, blue box will disappear. you will now see the file you have just uploaded in the fattest column on the extreme right hand side. minimise browser
25) open wordpad/notepad, type "apple pie recipe" or the name of the file you have just uploaded. press enter on the keyboard to create a space.
26) maximise browser, go to the file you have just uploaded, right click it. after that, choose "copy link". if done correctly, you will get a grey popup that says "copied to clipboard". the grey box will then disappear
27) go to notepad and paste the link you have just copied there. press enter on keyboard twice
28) type in new file name. save wordpad file.
29) open another different browser such as firefox or opera, paste the new link you have just copied into the address bar there
30) press enter on keyboard.
31) wait for page to load
32) try to download. this is how you test your link to see if (a) it works, (b) upload was successful. if it works, good.
33) close firefox. go back to chrome where your have uploaded "apple pie recipe".
34) upload another file by starting the process from step 20 to 33.
35) when you have uploaded all the files you want and saved them according to their correct names in wordpad/notepad, copy and paste everything there into a comment here

HOW TO UPLOAD TO 4SHARED

* Assumes you are using windows and chrome (browser). Assumes you have adblockplus installed in chrome. if you don't have adblockplus, open new tab in chrome, type in adblockplus in address bar and press enter on keyboard, find correct version for chrome and install it (it is free), close browser and reopen it.

* Example below is windows-based and chrome. Example below uses a fake example with a fake file called "apple pie recipe.docx".

* If you are not windows user, I cannot help you or teach you. the steps below should also work in firefox. If you don't understand what I mean, I cannot help you either because I really cannot make my examples any simpler.

*4shared will be called 4s for simplicity's sake.

3) go to 4shared website. it is www(dot)4shared(dot)com. change (dot) to a real dot when inputting address into the address bar
4) Do you have a 4s account? If you do, log in. The option to do this is close to the top right hand side of the screen. After that, go to step 15
5) if you don't have 4s acc, make a 4shared account. This is very useful because 4shared won't let you download anything from it unless you have an account and you are logged into it.
6) to make a 4shared account, go to the 4s website and look at the right hand side for the words "join now". somewhere under those words will be the words "or fill in the fields below".
7) once you have found "or fill the fields below", do exactly that by writing in your email, password, confirming password etc. you have to use an email address that you use often. after that, click the yellow "sign up" button
8) you must do step 7. doing this is how you make your 4shared account. memorise your password. if you lose/forget it, it will be lost forever.
9) after performing step 7, be patient. the system can take several minutes, up to 30 mins if you are unlucky with internet connection like me
10) after the website successfully loads you will be at the 4s sign up page. since you have already typed in your email address and password in step 7, you can ignore all that. instead, you must zero in on the part where it asks you to write your name. you must do this. after you type in your name (you can use fake name), click the yellow button that says "sign in" or "sign up" or something along those lines.
11) if you do step 10 correctly, you will get a message saying that an email has been sent to you and you must confirm it before you can use 4s. open a new tab in browser, don't do anything to this new tab yet
12) close the tab you used to sign up for a 4s account. in the new tab, log into your email address that you used to sign up and confirm your 4s account. this message can be in spam, so look everywhere for this email. once you find it, do whatever the message says to confirm your account. you must do this before you upload or download anything.
13) there will be a blue button in the message that says "verify now". click it. you will be taken to a page where they ask you to recommend 4s to facebook friends. say no. whenever there are these kinds of ads, say no. you do this by looking for the "no" button or the clicking the words "skip this step".
14) after clicking the words "skip this step", you will be at new page. there will be a popup telling you that you have successfully signed up to 4s and have a working 4s account now. this popup will also ask you to install some kind of app. say no by ignoring it. you do this by closing this popup. close the popup by clicking the x at the top right side.
15) you will now be in your 4s account. on left hand side, you will see a skinny column with words that say "my 4shared", "recycle bin", "shared with me" etc. at the bottom of the left hand side, you can see how much space you have used when you upload files. pay attention to traffic. notice you have 3gb of traffic a day and 30gb of traffic a month. in simple terms, think of daily traffic as a bar of chocolate that can be broken into 30 pieces. you are giving out this chocolate every day, and you can only give 30 people chocolate because you only have 30 pieces of choco per day. If Mary is person number 31, she won't have any choco because you have no more to give her. Even if Mary throws a tantrum, you can do nothing because you really have no more chocolate to give. Therefore, if someone tries to download your file and can't, it means they are in Mary's situation. They have no choice but to wait until the next day to try to download again. Or if they are unlucky and you have given out all your choco for the month (that is, you have so many people downloading from you that your monthly traffic is used up), then Mary will have no choice but to come back the followingh month to try to download again. Do you understand what I am saying?
16) the rest of the screen is your 4shared space where you can upload files. if you never used 4s before, it will say "this folder is empty". if you used 4s to upload before, there will be files here.
17) minimise your browser. go to your desktop and open the folder with the files you want to upload. click and drag them into the empty space that says "empty cloud drive" in your browser. done correctly, you will get a grey box at the bottom of your screen saying that X number of files have been added to the transfer/upload queue. pretend that you want to upload only 1 file called "apple pie recipe.docx". go to your desktop, open the recipes folder, click on "apple pie recipe" and and drag it into the chrome browser into the big space
18) when your file is uploading, at the bottom of your screen, you will see a progress bar that tells you how your upload is going, how fast it is etc.
19) when upload finishes, screen will turn blue. you will get popup saying upload successful. somewhere in this popup is very small words saying something like "allow people to search for my files". it will be ticked. the words are different, but the meaning is roughly the same.
20) untick those words by clicking the correct box. you should do this because don't want people to purposely search for your files. you don't want people to search for your files and find them because it may draw unwanted attention to it and 4s may delete your file and your account. after you have unticked "i want to allow people to search for my files", click "ok" in this pop when it says this.
21) after you have closed popup, you will now see the file you have just uploaded. minimise browser
22) open wordpad/notepad, type "apple pie recipe" or the name of the file you have just uploaded. press enter on the keyboard to create a space.
23) maximise browser, go to the file you have just uploaded, right click it. after that, choose "get links". you will end up with a popup, you have to manually copy the link by clicking on the http address inside this popup until it highlights in bright blue. after that, right click and choose "copy"
24) now, go to notepad and paste the link you have just copied there. press enter on keyboard twice
25) type in new file name. save wordpad file.
31) the popup where you copied the link from 4s is still open. close the popup by clicking the "done" button
32) upload another file by starting the process from step 15 to 32.
33) when you have uploaded all the files you want and saved them according to their correct names in wordpad/notepad, copy and paste everything there into a comment here

Honestly, I appreciate the guy who creates those long instructions. Not that I don't know how to upload(nor was the guide meant for me lol), but I pretty much don't have the patience to do that. Kudos^^

Dropping by to say thanks to the anon who wrote the long instructions on how to upload to different websites. It's definitely a tiring task but helpful to those who don't know how to. Thanks a lot, anon!
