Well either test it yourself or just don't play at all.
Like seriously you have to ask for the guide to be tested? Stop asking for every single thing. If you don't want to download useless stuff then don't, no-one's pointing a gun at you asking you to read it.
And no I can say that it might not work since the main Princess Battles website removed the old walkthrough link.

I don't want to sound rude or anything but why not try downloading it first? It's just a small text file, there's no harm in downloading it. I haven't played the game yet, but the website of Princess Battles mentions that for the Steam version, there are extra stories after the endings and new unlockable minigame; it doesn't mention anything about new choices though, so there is a huge chance that the walkthrough would just work. And even in the case where it does not work, there is no Steam-specific walkthrough yet (as far as I know).
