Am an aivd reader, must finish Pride and Prejudice by tonight, but cant find...

...interest in the book, ideas? I need to read this for my english class, and I really struggled very hard to fall for the book. The movie is quite great indeed but the book interests me none whatsoever. It is not the manner in which they speak im not really sure what it is.

has anyone got any ideas on how to tackle this book well?
 
Well, sometimes we just have to struggle through books. It's always harder to read a book when someone else is making you do it and it's not just for your own enjoyment.

I agree that Pride and Prejudice can be kind of slow moving, but one thing that Jane Austen does really well is write the romantic tension/ angst between two characters. Try to let that carry you through the slow bits.

You could also try picturing the movie in your head as you read it so that things come a bit more alive for you.

I love to read but I also hated this book and many others I had to read for English. Well, you can always just not read it. There's consequences though.
