Am I likely to be disappointed by (Verizon) Droid2 based on my dislikes...

...of my (Verizon) LG Dare? Here's what I HATE about my current phone. Looking for Droid 2 to offer better. What do you know about these features in Droid2?

CONTACTS:
Contacts does not have any notes or other non-phone number areas. I sometimes like to keep info such as a birthdate, a spouse or children's names, etc.
I may want to add an address. Right now, the best place to keep an address is in the Verizon Navigator... but they are disconnected and VNav is more cumbersome to access.
Also, I may not want the full proper name in the Name section because of the speech recognition (easier to say "Call -Sandy -Mobile" vs "Call 'Sandy and John Everson -Mobile") so I want a space for that kind of more detailed info.
AWESOME BONUS - would be if the contacts were connected to V Navigator!

CALENDAR:
I like to use the Calendar for reminders, but there's a max space allowance of characters which is pretty small.
So, for example, I may want to put a reminder to stop at the store on my way home, and include the grocery list of several items I dont want to forget. There's no room for that. Neither is there room to place an address for an event
e.g. "Long Beach Dog Art Charity Event: 101 1st St, Long Beach - near 1st and Pine, parkg $10, $15 door."
the above is helpful for some details. If not in the main line, at least I'd like to have some space for details like this in the calendar item.
Also would be useful when adding a conference call I need to attend - there's barely room for the phone and conf ID after you put ANY meeting details.
AWESOME BONUS - would be if the calendar can have a phone contact space which DIALS OUT

KEYPAD:
I hate the touchscreen keypad on my phone. To get to most characters and all numbers you have to move to another screen. It takes longer for that screen to load, and then for my eyes (and fingers) to find the num or char I need. Then I have to switch back.
When a phone has a hard keypad I can be hitting the alt key and already know where that char is that I need. Also, numbers tend to be on the main keys set and not separated (they should be along the top, ideally!).
With this, I find myself typing out FULL words in texts that I could have abbreviated with numbers or chars ("waitng 4 u @ *bucks" actually takes longer to type than "waiting for you at starbucks" because of the touchpad's cumbersome access to nums & chars)
Another dislike of the touchscreen keypad is how often it seems to misunderstand what I am aiming for. Believe me, I have re-calibrated it a million times... still doesn't work well. Typos everywhere.

OH, and also... with the one I have now, if i need to go back and edit something I either have to back it all the way up (deleting) or I have to try to hit the perfect spot with my finger to move the cursor.
This is just as bad as, no... worse than, the accuracy of the keys! The touchscreen keys are taking up so much screen space that the text is reduced to one line - so i have to expand the text and then try to place the cursor - I miss, the text closes itself back down, I have to open it again, repeat until so annoyed I just call. AGGH.
Just give me some freaking arrow keys.
I see that the Droid2 has a slide out keypad - is it well laid out? Can you move the cursor easily?

CAMERA:
The camera is CRAP in my current phone. It can only handle perfect lighting. It sometimes doesn't take the photo when I click, and if I click longer it suddenly changes to video mode. It's trying to be "intuitive" but it's a lame as a bad fortune teller about that.

FAVORITES:
The Favorite Contacts screen with the jumbled messy looking friends list is LAME. Plus, I click one, then I click the CALL icon, and it doesn't seem to register what I want to do. Back to square one.
Annoying. I resort to the voice recognition most times just because that screen is insane. Not saying that Voice Rec is much use sometimes....

VOICE COMMANDS
"Please say a command" "Call John Nobles" "Did you say: Call Home Mobile?" "No" "Did you say: Call Mom?" "No" "did you say: Call Global Transport?" "Seriously??" "Command not understood. Please say a command"
"GAH!!!" "Command not understood, please say a command" "Call JOHN NOBLES" "did you say: Call hrwn mrnbits?" "No" Command not understood, please try again, did you say: Call hrwn mrnbits?" "NO!"

You get the picture?

So, any opinions from Droid 2 owners? Will I be happy, or sorely disappointed in these very BASIC functions if I move to the droid2?
