dan: I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not...

Karl Benz invented the car, 11 years before Henry Ford.

Santos-Dumont invented the airplane.

Contrary to popular belief Edison only improved on a 80 year old invention by Humphrey Davy.

Television was invented by John Logie-Baird.

First radio waves to be transmitted were by Welshman Richard Hughes.

William Hodkinson only invented the movie business, not movies.

Most types of music were created before Colombus even discovered America.

Europe invented a lot more than America has with medicine. Penicillin, viagra, prontosil, co-discovered DNA, discovered germs, vitamins, blood circulation, blood groups, X-Rays, vaccinations. All these from the top of my head...

The first space rocket was invented by German scientists.

All sports eh? Brits created hockey, baseball, rugby, tennis, golf, cricket, table tennis (all of which are in the top 10 most popular sports)

And you didn't win all wars, you lost to Vietnam for a start.
And you're saying football sucks and nobody likes it....It's the most popular sport in the world.

I could say the same about baseball and American football, since no one else actually does play them.
