An old Hollywood type bedroom?

I'm 14 and Ive decided to give my room a makeover. So I started painting it red. I plan on painting all my furniture black. On my mirror, I want to outline it with pearls with a hot glue gun. I want to put up a long curtain rod behind my bed, and get two big black sheets and make it look like a big window and put a big mirror underneath it, since I live in the basement. On another wall, I am going to draw a picture of a chandelier hanging from my ceiling and outline it with black and make little shelves where the candles/lights would be and put tea lights on the shelves to make it look like a real one. I also want to put up old black and white photos and I want to make a huge black feather boa and put it where the wall meets the ceiling and put some little purple lights with it, so its kinda outlining the walls. The question is, any more inexpensive ideas?
The theme of my room is 1920's old Hollywood.
=)
Please help!

Sounds more goth or heavy Victorian parlor..........maybe film noir, I guess. I'd be putting in more white or at least beige. Without natural light, the red will become more black so you'll be black on black, truly dreary....even with artificial light.

I tend to think about the 20's as about the flappers, short skirts, sequins, bobbed hair cuts.
 
Sounds like you have everything planned out perfectly. Good for you. The only finishing touches I would add are to get yourself some big black and white photos of 20's stars, Greta Garbo, Rudolph Valentino, etc. The black and whites will look spectacular on the red walls!
