An omen or a curse from dreams?

A few hours ago, I woke up from a rather disturbing dream.

I'm not quite sure where I was or what I was doing (I have an odd tendency to forget 90% of what occurred throughout all my dreams), but here's what I do recall:

My teeth.

Apparently, my two front teeth were in HALF, and part of the other teeth lining my upper mouth were hanging out of my mouth. I could still vividly recall how I rolled my tongue over the skeletal pores of the inside of my two half-teeth.. not exactly a very nice memory either. When I dreamed, I also dreamed of having an extremely uncomfortable pain in my mouth - the kind of pain I would expect if my teeth were to actually undergo such a horrid experience. When I woke up, however, I vaguely imagined the pain to maintain a small resounding effect in my mouth, which nearly succeeded in convincing me that the dream was not a dream at all, but rather a reality. Two minutes of close examination of my mouth in the mirror was shortly followed by overwhelming relief.

Enough said - does anyone have a suggestion on what this dream may signify?

I've already considered that it may mean my teeth are unhealthy, but they are perfectly strong and white as far as I can determine (I've been told once by my dentist that my perfect teeth are really difficult to naturally come by). As for a fear of dentist, I have none - my dentist is pleasant and good-humored.
I appreciate everyone's references to other sites for further information about this particular perfectly horrifying dream; I'll look into them accordingly later.

Keep the answers pouring in! =)

It's actually a common dream.
