Android cellphone Help?

Hello all i need some help with an Android cellphone. First of all how can I search through the phone/micro SD card for any files/music etc? I mean lets say i have an .apk app on the memory card , how can i find it through the phone to install it?
 
I Use root explorer, its extremely simple to use, and has its own installer built in, just go to the folder, click on the apk, and itll ask to install, simple as that :) hope this helped
 
download a file explorer from the android market and use that to find all your apk's mp3's and such...
