Android phone not reading Music?

I just recently got a Motorola I1. I put music on it with just dragging and droppping the songs onto the SD card, in a folder i created labeled Music. It will allow me to save copies of the songs on the SD card, but once I go to play them on my phone, it will only read some songs. All of my music is .mp3. I was trying at one point to download some Pantera songs on my phone and they would save, and there was plenty of space afterward, but the phone wouldn't read them. But after Deleting all of the songs from Amon Amarth, and then putting Pantera back on the SD card, it read them fine. But then I couldnt get Amon Amarth on the SD card. Over time of putting more music on the SD card it seems to hold more bands and songs, but still I have a few that won't show up. Is there something I need to do to the SD card? It's a 2 GB SDHC micro. I dont see anything on the phone that says to search for new music or anything similar. I notice at one time when i went into manage applications and cleared everything from the media storage app it would look like all my music is deleted, but when hooked to a pc, I saw all of them there. I then moved them to a new folder named Music and deleted the old one. After that, more songs that were hidden before were shown and now playable, but not all of them.
It seems repeatable messing with the songs either by mo ing them all from the music folder the another folder, then renaming the new folder music, or by deleting them completely and then re copying them to the phone will get them on eventually but it takes a long time and now it's not adding the ones I seem to be having problems with anymore.

I have also tried formating the SDHC card and it still has this problem.

It usually will have problems with certain songs or bands for a while, then go on to other bands or songs. Sometimes it will only show one one or two from a band when there are more.
