Anthony Kiedis incident. Your take?

You never had to stop because someone was helping back-out a big lorry?
Or someone trying to make a delivery?

You people make it sound like you are regularly being stopped for no real reason?
In my experience there's usually a good reason why someone says "Could you hold on a minute mate?".
Probably worth trying to see if they have such a reason before trying to punch them maybe?
No one's saying you shouldn't push on through if you deem their reason to be lacking just that it's worth having a bit of dialogue first eh?

Yeah, I can relate in many ways, but in this case, there were uniformed (quite garishly too, must be motorcycle cops) right there. In my mind, that gives an implied consent to what the guys in suits are doing. Whether the guys in suits are assumed to be detectives, plains clothes, or private security is irrelevant because you still had clearly marked uniformed police there.

It seems that there is a crowd there (from the talk going on by the camera) and it seems like they understood what the guys in suits and uniformed police were doing. To have one guy approach (despite seeing a crowd waiting and uniformed police) and try to get in seems odd... and once he escalates to violence, unacceptable. Once he was asked to stop, what did he expect the outcome to be?

LOL at the idea the Rolling Stones need security protection to save them from a crowd of fans.

Anthony Kiedis (argueably now a bigger star) was safely wandering about with his Mrs. If the stones were in danger then blocking Kiedis was putting him in equal danger!!

That's arguable. I'd never heard of Kiedis. I know the band by name, but would not recognize any of the members.

Why do you find it humorous that the Stones need security?

It is funny because Anthony Kiedis was able to walk about the street with his partner safely and without concern. However, according to some the Stones needed heavy security to go from the entrance of the hotel to a car.

Let's see... the Rolling Stones had 19 years' head start on the Chili Peppers. Meaning a lot more fans who'd recognize them. More albums sold. More concerts. Etc.

I'd be really interested to hear what concrete metric you'd use to show that Anthony Kiedis has been more popular.

The talk of Anthony Kiedis being more popular than the Rolling Stones... hahahaha... crazy talk right there.

Rolling Stones=Always a top contender in any discussion of greatest rock bands of all time.

RHCP? Not so much. Very popular over a long time yes? On the same scale as the Stones or Zeppelin? Not even.

And lets remember there is a reason for musicians to have security. Let's not forget what happened to John Lennon

I am not saying that the RHCP are more popular than the Stones, rather if Kiedis is safe to walk about the Stones certainly are.

They was hired to do a job, and they did it, and very well it seems.

Don't really see why people would have a problem.

Seems they guy (lead singer or whatever) didnt have any respect for the people in-front of him (guy tried to talk and he pushed)

So no, the guards had it right.

Edit: That's based on the people doing thier job, not the philosophical point if they should have been blocking the main entrance or who is more famous. If those guys were getting paid by me, they did what they was asked. Regardless of why they was there (they where put thier by thier employers) So i cant fault the people.

People as famous as the Stones are tend to have higher number of fans that love them so much they'd cruise down the road while wearing the singer's skin as an overcoat while blasting their greatest hits.

I highly doubt that Anthony Kaleidoscope is that famous on his own. Everyone and their psychopathic brother knows who Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are.
