Any good book suggestions?

Hey, my dad wants to get into reading again and I was going to get him a book for christmas, but he is really fussy as to what he likes/ doesn't. He liked Dan Brown and things like the Da Vinci Code, and is also into the supernatural a bit. Tends to like things more if it has factual evidence for it, not complete fantacy, (i.e, Dan Brown books, combines fact with fiction etc.) Any ideas???

John Grisham is really good they are mysteries but they aren't completely unrealistic
