Any Hunters?

Try killing,cleaning,and butchering something for yourself,a game or farm animal.

I went on a bushcraft course a couple of weeks ago and helped skin a deer that had been shot as part of a cull. Then we divided up the meat and made venison stew.
I have nothing against eating animals.
What I don't have is any sense of enjoyment or buzz from having to do so.

And as for doing it with spears or knives...that's just macho posturing.
If an animal has to be killed it should be quick and done with the minimum of fuss.
The very opposite of stabbing it with spears and chasing it around the forest.
Humanity should (and can) be better than that I feel.

if hunting is done to also eat thre meat, its ok. any animal hunted for its meat has a better chance than one raised and lead to a slaughter

Fine, but thats really just explaining away why its ok to enjoy killing stuff.

You hunt it because you enjoy it, you enjoy killing stuff, not because it has a better chance or that the meat is better, or that the population is too big.......you shoot it because you enjoy shooting it.

And what im killing is encouraged by the government which means no bag limit, no tags because of it being an overpopulated and invasive species.

Is it even more public spirited to kill stuff with a spear?

Never said I didn't enjoy it? You hunt because you enjoy hunting. Not a difficult concept to wrap your head around although from what I have seen in other threads you are pretty dull. I was merely elaborating on a previous post of mine which I stated the boars where a problem in the area. Stop looking for confrontation everywhere you go.

I would love to go on a boar hunt & then roast it on a spit for all my family and friends to enjoy. Good times, good food, sharing, that's what hunting is all about. Good luck Ranzan! May Diana, goddess of the hunt bring you good fortune.

Shoot them with a camera, all the fun of the hunt with none of the killing that you don’t enjoy.




No, you were trying to justify killing things for pleasure.

Yes, you hunt because you enjoy hunting, hunting involves killing. Hard to explain to someone who is against hunting so you may take it as you want to. I enjoy killing animals and I plan to do just that with a spear, should be a good time.

I'm not against hunting. I'm sure in places it is absolutely necessary. I just wonder at people who get their thrills from killing stuff in the year 2010.
If you saw a racoon/cat/stray dog by the side of the road, would you swerve to hit it for the fun of the kill?

Yes.....but that was not the question. I asked, as he likes stabbing stuff with spears for kicks, would the same be true of running a critter over in his car.....would that be seen as fun?

Are you really too stupid to know the difference between someone who enjoys hunting, uses the meat/hide and someone who runs over animals for fun and leaves them on the side of the road????
