Any Hunters?

I know the differaece, my question is where he stands.....would he see road kill as fun in the same way that stabbing pigs is fun.

And the way you have formed your question again gives validity to hunting for fun where none exists.

I have no problem in hunting for food or hide, if that is the real reason. Killing stuff for fun, but also then using the meat is still killing stuff for fun.
 
I'm going to take a slightly different swing on this and say basically everyone enjoys killing in a way. Most people play games or watch action films or whatever and in essence isn't that enjoying killing things? Only difference here is hunters do it in real life which just takes more skill and a stronger stomach.

So you approve of hunting as long as people don't enjoy doing it? That makes no sense. Hunting for meat and using the hide, and personal gratification are not mutually exclusive.

If one hunts and eats it and uses what one can I have no problem with it. If one wants to take that a step further and do it in a more challenging manner then so be it... no problem with that either...

If you prefer your meat packaged in a styrofoam tray in the frozen section fine. But get off your high horse... you're just as much a part of the killing game as anyone else. I'll take hunting over factory farming any day.

See, I would have no problem with anyone who hunted bacause they don't like farmed meat, or farmers who want to keep deer numbers down on their land, or people who live in the middle of nowhere and find shooting deer the best way to access food.

I only have a problem with people who just like to kill stuff. I don't care if they then try to justify it by eating bits of the carcus or making gloves out of the hide.....I just don't get the joy of killing part.

I'm with you on that. That's the main reason I was against fox hunting. People did it because they enjoyed killing animals.
 
You really need me to elaborate on why not everyone likes killing and why killing in a video game is differant to killing in real life? Really?

Was on a flight back to the UK from Germany about 3 weeks ago. I sit down and see a Daddy long legs (crane fly) stuck to the seat next to me. I stop the woman who was about to sitdown and squash the fly into her shirt from doing so and she catches it, cups it in her hand for about 7-8 mins while the rest of the plane board then takes it to the door to release!

This woman made her self really uncomfortable and invited ridicule (the german air crew had a good laught) bacuse she didnt want this pest killed! Tell me this (totally average) person likes killing!
 
I find it very ironic that you are so against the idea of killing in one thread, yet in another thread you are so fond of the idea of nuking China to reduce the population.
 
My point in Nuking China is that unless we can do something of that scale we might as well give up and accept that MMGW will just sort it out for us.....Not "hey, lets hunt us some yellow man on a huge scale HELL YEAH!!!"

Not really sure how you can know what their intention is other than going on what they've told you. If you go hunting hogs and use the products then thats fine by me. It's not as if anyone is raising this type of hog as a pet. If it's a nuisance and can be hunted and used accordingly then I don't see the problem with it.

You're trying to draw some sort of moral distinction when you can't really know other than by what you've been told.

And no one on this thread is saying "hell ya, let's just go around shooting animals."

But someone is saying "Let's go and stick some pigs with sharp sticks". Which is worse actually. Less humane than a quick shot with a rifle.

That'd be because such an assnine notion like nuking China to control the world population that you put forth doesn't merit a serious response... as it much as it merits copious amounts of derision and me laughing at you. lol.
