Any moist cake recipes?

I want something that is sweet but not as sweet as icing. I hate icing, so nothing that needs it on top either. I want something that is really moist that it leaves your fingers a little sticky if you hold it, but doesn't fall apart or is not soggy. I am thinking something along the lines of how banana bread is. If you have ever had a tortuga rum cake... that's what I am talking about to a T.

Instead of using oil use apple sauce, moist and tasty.You can also use crushed pineapple and it's juice in place of water that the recipe may call for.
