...photo editing? I'm looking to upgrade my laptop (which is a thinkpad R52 so improvement shouldn't be too difficult!).
The most demanding thing I do is probably photo editing using Photoshop. My laptop really struggles with that! I play the odd game but generally older ones. Otherwise it's the usual stuff I'll be using it for: surfing the web, watching DVDs, presentations etc. A webcam would be nice.
I'm looking for something reliable and sturdy, not too fussed about style or weight although I dont want anything too heavy (2.7 kg seems standard which should be fine). My laptop must be 5 years old now and I'm looking of something of similar quality.
Battery's not a huge consideration although it would be good to be able to watch a whole dvd when I'm travelling.
I'm sure I dont need a top-spec laptop and I dont want to pay more for capability that I dont actually need.
My budget is 550 pounds.
Anyone have any personal recommendations? If anyone has similar requirements to me and is happy with their laptop, please let me know what it is!
