Any suggestion's on how to make inconsiderate neighbor's tone down the constant

dirt bike and atv noise? My husband and I work at night and we need to sleep during the day. They are constantly riding dirt bikes up and down behind our home. We have tried reasoning with them and even talked to the sherriff's department and still haven't gotten anywhere. any suggestions. Serious answers only apply. Thanks
 
1. get a job you work during the day
2 wear earplugs
3 move
4 they riding during the day when they are ALLOWED, which means they are not breaking any laws, as im sure the cops told you
5 get use to it
6 fork out some $$$$ and buy them quiet exhaust packs
 
have them arrested for disturbing the peace. if the cops wont do it, go to the county judge and tell him, the cops will be in deep **** for not doing anything.
 
go over and put sugar in the gas tanks-- it will caramelize the engine and they will never run again!!!
 
I understand your plight. I work 3 nights a week myself as well as 4-5 days a week in my own shop. My neighbor also has a shop and frequently works on noisy items. Best suggestion I have, since you have already talked to the offending parties and checked with local law enforcement, is to sleep with foam ear plugs.

When I moved to TN. I lived with some friends till my new house/shop went to settlement. I lived in a room in their basement with 9 people and 6 dogs running overhead as well as up and down the stairs directly next to where my bed was. I worked nights, they worked days, so when I tried to sleep the family was up and running, dogs barking, doors slamming and this went on all day long. Ear plugs saved my friendship and sanity.
 
seriously if i were you and they were annoying me, to the point where i couldnt sleep. I would either move or sort them out. Ask around for someone who will do a job for some money or beer. Tell them to steal the motorbikes or threaten the people to stop doing it or else!
