Any way to charge iPod shuffle on a backpacking trip?

So I'm hoping to go on a trip through Cameroon for a missions thing. We will be doing a lot of walking so I want to get a iPod shuffle and be able to listen to podcasts and other stuff while I walk. The only problem is that I probably won't have any power sources like wall sockets and laptops around to charge. Anyone got any good way to charge my iPod while I'm on the trip?
Seeing some of the answers, could I get like some Canadian or USD prices please. And no onion and gatorade charging lol.

i once watched a guy charge his ipod from an onion.. its on youtube.. pretty weird but facinating at the same time.. have a good trip.. im heading over there in december. cheers!

I believe there are some battery chargers that you can buy. The only thing is that you will probably go through quite a few batteries to keep it charged.
