omg i loveeed the goose girl! i just rechecked it out actually! if you like that kind of themed books have you tried Francesa Lia Block? she writes kind of modern day fairy tale L.A. like books that are soft and inspiring and pretty and vivid and romantic.

Also try the once upon a time series which is a line of books with different fairy tales redone and with added depth.

everything from the little mermaid to the princess and the pea, mulan, ect.

you'll love it!

also try robin mckinley. Sunshine is a good book by her. its a vampire book. i read it before twilight and its what got me into that subject. i reallyyy liked it. it like stayed in my heart and mood for a long time. Beauty by her is also amazing. its a retelling of Beauty and the Beast and its absolutely beautiful and romantic.

check out these titles if you wish!

I totally enjoyed DUNE, it's pretty deep, but absolutely fascinating! THE MUMMY by Anne Rice is one of the very few that I re-read every couple of years - it's that good!

These are some of my favorite series. Keep in mind that some of them are adult and will contain adult content, I will put a warning star next to any adult books. no, I am not trying to corrupt todays youth, but some people are more mature than others. If you want the summaries of these books or have any questions then email me at [email protected] as that is now my more used account. Happy reading!

Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. The first book is City of Bones, followed by City of Ashes and City of Glass. I'm an avid reader myself, and these are some of the best books I've read in some time. Can't-put-down stay-up-until-three-in-the-morning reading.

Try Fairest by Gail Carson Levine. It is really wonderful and creative, and it ties directly in with Ella Enchanted.
Have you read the Phantom Tollbooth? It's a personal favorite of mine and another recommendation for you.
Also another one that isn't very well known is Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson. it's one that I've read over and over and over again at least 8 times.

Well...you said Mystery and Historical Fiction. So I would recommend "The Giver" it has Mystery because it isn't killing or crime mystery but it has a mysterious element to it. and Historical Fiction well, I can't explain why it his Fictitious Historically, but trust me, it is. it is an AMAZING book. and I definitely recommend it to EVERYONE who asks. I read it in the 3rd grade, and I am in 7th right now, and I still read this book. trust me, amazing book. It is By Lois Lowry, if it helps any. and If you liked The Giver, you should try Gathering Blue, or the Messenger. also good books.
