RE: motorola w175g hack

been working on that.

gotta hack the NAM and copy block 1 into block 2
I'm getting the idea that to do this, you need to get into the "opt" menu, also called RCS, and engineering menu. There is a sequence access code for this, but I'm still figuring out which one it is, and what security code to use.
Here is a list of the 6 sequence codes:

1 FCN (SECURITY CODE TWICE) RCL
2 STO # (SECURITY CODE TWICE) RCL
3 CTL 0 (SECURITY CODE TWICE) *
4 FCN 0 (SECURITY CODE TWICE) RCL
5 FCN 0 (SECURITY CODE TWICE) MEM
6 CTL 0 (SECURITY CODE TWICE) RCL
once you get into the NAM and copy phone info from the 1st block to the second, you are supposed to have free unlimited units. I'm still trying to figure out what teh sequence is so that I can do it myself.(I havent managed to find any files on how to access NAM that my server can access, and its supposed so if you do, post it here so i can come back and find it later plz)

you can also change the phone's parameters(still working this one out) and that should at least reduce the price
unlocking the phone as far as I know have two very prominent ways of unlocking

I used this one(don't know which one it was that did the trick, wasn't paying that close attention but one of them worked)
# 7, 4, 6, 6, 3, #, MENU, MENU.
7, 4, 6, 6, 3, #, FNC, FNC
#, 0, 7, 3, 8, 8, 7, *,
MENU, 0, 7, 3, 8, 8, , 7, *.

Then theres also whether or not you wanna use it on the computer
and to do that you have to have an 8 digit unlock code to enter here:
rom the Main Menu, you go to Office Tools, then to SIM App. Under that menu is only one entry, "Unlock"
Haven't found that one yet, if you do please post it so i can come back to this string and find it
flash files are everywhere, but you have to unlock that app before you can do anything more than see your phone on the "found new hardware"

once you do this, you should have a fully hacked, usable phone, and from there, many websites provide additional stuff you can put on your phone.

Can you please explain what this means in a little less technical terms? I have my W175g in hand and, to be quite honest, I don't even know what you're talking about, with NAM and whatnot, or the various codes (how do I input them, and where)?

As for parameters, I believe you mean those accessible from "Code Entry Mode" that'll show you things such as billing rates and such.

If I knew how to do what you're talking about, I'd have me a more usable handset.
