Anyone ELSE ABSOLUTLEY HATE TWILIGHT?

seriously I thought I was the only person who felt this way. Maybe it's because I've been reading avidly since I was 3, but seriously, seriously....!!! Gosh I can't hold myself back!! I'm not a crazy Twilight hater but I am in a daze as to why this is so popular. With little to know rhetor, literary devices, prose, style, and intellectual structure one can really question if there is any depth to this "fantasy". Yes, not to only mention that is is predictable. The diner/ resteraunt (idk?) scene, the car accident scene, and the chase. Wow! While reading this I had to stop and ask myself if what I was reading was indeed literature. I'm losing hope for my generation.
 
the series in review

I think i am the biggest hypocrite, i refused to read any just because of all the girls obsessing over it and it being such a trend and what not. Then just recently i started to read them ALL. first one = eh not so good. second one = really poor. third one = quite captivating and i'm onto the last now. i do think this woman has talent and her stories are enjoyable; yet i am not obsessed and know this series isn't what you would call "amazing." no way. just remember though different people like different things and she went to the effort to write these books and publish them, give her some credit. to the over the top "I'M MRS CULLEN" yeah you need help, to the "I WILL KILL WHOEVER LOVES TWILIGHT" you equally need help

She ends up being saved repeatedly by others. What was with the instant love that she receives when she arrives in Forks? She has no flaws apart from the fact she's a world class klutz and that makes her pitiable rather than human.

Edward has no flaws either. Perfect people don't make for a perfect story. Perfect people are uninteresting. On top of all that, I think the descriptions used for Edward were highly repetitive.

i apologize if you didnt receive any "instant love" when you moved to a new school like Bella did, but maybe there was nothing for anyone to like about you.
shouldnt a 28 year old english teacher have better things to do with her time than rag on a book?

I don't understand how so many people like the twilight books. And I really don't understand the people who have read the books multiple times. How obsessed can people get? I have read all 4 books and I saw the movie. Personally, I liked the movie better than the book.
I didn't care for how repetitive Meyers writing style was. 'Edwards perfect body'.
I also believe that the 4th book was the worst because of the odd scenarios.
The last thing I would like to add is WHERE THE HELL DID MEYERS GET HER VAP. INFO? Her ideas on vampires is stupid.

You people are so insane. If people enjoy the book, let them get on with it keep your opinions to yourself, you will never convince them not to like it. I found the comments from those who dispise the book to be rude and arrogant, why would you say such horrible things about it, im fifteen myself and after reading Twilight and watching the film I thought to be fascinating and enjoyable. Teenagers can always have hope to desire a prince charming why not? Sure not every guy out there are princes but we all see people in different ways. Its a story book, whats the problem with likeing it?

Your a 28 year old english teacher, wow you sound boring already! ive never liked english teachers much, all the ones ive ever had seem to stuck up and put this ridiculous posh accent on. Im fifteen and loved the book so much, it was imaginative, GREAT! I thought the book was aimed at young people in their teens not sad boring teachers who are in their late 20s!
 
I know how some of you feel when you say about your mates nearly murdering you because you don't like it. Loads of my friends are completely insane about the books and the film and have been practically shunning me since October. I haven't read the books or seen the film, so I'm not gonna say they're terrible, but I just can't hack the hype and the obsession surrounding this topic! I feel like I know the whole story already, and lets face it, it sounds like it's the Romeo and Juliette Updated Vampire version (and they reckon it's original! Ha!) My mates know exactly how I feel about them talking about it ALL the time (seriously)! And hey! Guess what, as soon as I start talking about something that I love or I'm interested in, they either laugh at me, or say that I talk about it too much or just plainly ignore it!!! As a result, I'm getting really upset with it all now, because I'm finding myself obsessing over hating Twilight so much and I'm basically losing my mates over a stupid book....I've really had enough of everything to do with Twilight, including them!
 
yes twilight suck, read a romance with literary merit. I guess it would be better if stephanie meyer took a few grammar courses, but the story is pretty pathetic.

i thought they were good but when everyone started becoming obsessed with it is when i started to change my mind
everyone got wayyy to hyped up about it
i think that the books were better than the movie and i didnt really think that the movie was all that great
the actors were kinda weird
like kristin stewart
she didnt really deliver her lines
so anyways
the books were good until everyone was obsessed with them

Put it this way. There are people at my school, and even teachers, are absolutely in love with this. I find it very hard to "love" a vampire. Defining vampire = a weirdo who sucks your freaking blood out and kills you. That's not good! People who are obsessed are ridiculous.
By the way, this is a cheap knock off of Harry Potter and it's series. Seriously! Both try to keep their secrets from humans, live in a secret place, magic powers (yes, vampires have powers. Super speed, strength am I correct?) This is freaking ridiculous! It was the worst movie I had ever seen! I saw it with my friends and I wanted to take a paintball gun to the screen and shoot those freaking vampires to have a little color. Who cares what they look like! Give me a reasonable explanation why they do.
Not just because the myths, stories and authors describe them like that. By the way, the person who likes the series above, you are insane. Go get some help. Now. Vampires don't exist. They suck tennis balls. They can choke on them for all I care.

Point blank, it blows.
 
The fact that there are 36 pages of people complaning or obsessing about the twilight series, it is sad.

And i also really don't like the actor who plays Edward Cullen, although he plays the character well i don't like him.
 
u seriously need 2 get a life!! i mean why r u even on this site if you like the book???? if ur on a twilight hate sight and u like twilight you have 2 be prepared to hear things that u might not agree with!!! And thats stupid 2 say you'd kill someone just cuz they think differently!!! GOD. and all u twilight lovers dont realize how annoying u guys r when you go on about how 'AWESOME' it is!!!!
