Creepy movie. Terence Stamp gives a rather brilliant performance as the "villain," a mild-mannered, emasculated bank clerk who abducts a woman he's long admired from afar. My only complaint: Maurice Jarre's score, while very elegant in and of itself, at times seems an ill fit for such a dark film.
So, anyone else seen it? Thoughts?
And I put villain in quotes not because he's not a completely despicable character, lol, but because Stamp plays him in such an...understated, hesitant, melancholy way. He never turns him into a typical brute or frothing-at-the-mouth psycho.
