Im writing a story, and it involves boats. I did some research and decided the boat would a cutter boat. Sort of like this one:

i need to know:


1) The main parts of a boat
2) what each part does
3) how to sail one

That is not a cutter rigged sailboat. It is a gaff-rigged sloop.

It is identified by having 2 headsails and the main mast a bit further back from the bow than a sloop rig.
