Anyone know why my Persona 3 PsP keeps crashing when i'm not greeted in the dorm

lounge? I've gotten up to June 15th on the game, but each time i try to get home to the lounge in the evening, the game crashes. The music is still playing, but my curser does not appear so that i can make any form of selections. This is rather infuriating, as the game cannot progress without getting through the lounge. Anyone know of a useful solution?
