Anyone out there feel like reading/reviewing the first chapter of my novel?

Right now, the revised chapter one of my novel, Counter, is running about 2700 words. I need some feedback on the characters, the writing style, pretty much everything. Constructive criticism would be appreciated, but if you hate it, let me know. I'm working on chapter two at the moment, so if you would want to keep reading and reviewing, just shoot me an e-mail.
