anything msn or hotmail related is failing?

when i tried to log on to my msn it kept going to error etc so i tried updating and it went through all good. but even after it was done downloading i still couldnt start up msn D:. and with hotmail.com once i press the log on it keeps going to this strange page (theres like a yellow square with a black figure that kinda looks lyk a policeman?)
