...hear something extra juicy? I don't want my friend to think I'm untrustworthy, I really don't even realize that I do this, but my b/fs friend says he couldn't tell me something b/c I would tell his g/f[which is my friend]Some people in my family say I like to talk about their bussiness too.help
 
People gossip because it a) makes them feel important - "I know something you don't know..." and/or b) makes them feel bigger "She did such and such - what a loser." Which are you? If you don't like these choices, chose to keep your mouth closed with regards to other people's business.

Think before you open your mouth:
1) Would you want to have someone gossiping about you? Do you have someone you can talk to and KNOW they won't blab? Isn't that important to you? Wouldn't you like to be that person for someone else?
2) Would you rather be trusted by the people around you or just looked at as a living soup opera?
Good luck - you can earn your friends' trust but it will take a while for them to believe in the new you.
 
Before you talk about someone else, run it through in your head first. Turn the tables & ask yourself if it were you, would you want people knowing your business? Would you discuss the information you have to someone else if the person you were talking about were standing right next to you?

Nobody likes a gossip & if you want people to trust you, you need to learn how to be trustworthy.

Just mind your own business. The world would be a better place if people were less nosey, that's for sure. I can spot a nosey person a mile away. Yikes.
