Ok, so i'm going into 7th grade this coming school year, and i'm going to a private school for the second time in my life. I went to one for kindergarten, but only because it was full day. Now, to be challenged, i'm going to a private day school. My neighbor, and other friend, already go to it, and they've told me repeatedly that I need a laptop. The staff doesn't say they're necessary, the school does have a computer lab, but it STINKS. Having a laptop would give me the ability to take notes in class, and my neighbor says he uses it every single day for projects/papers and stuff. My family already has a desktop computer that's really slow, and my mom's work computer which is a macbook pro (refurbished). The problem is, and please don't call me a spoiled brat, I would really like a macbook pro. After looking up reviews and such, it seems like it's the best all around computer. My uncle, and parents, say that "I don't need a computer with so many features" and such, but it seems as though apple's the way to go. I will be bringing it to school everyday in a bag, and will probably put keyboard/screen covers on it. Please give input?
