Apps aren't syncing onto iPhone, please help (10 pts)?

So in iTunes when I try to sync the apps I got in the iTunes store, it says they are syncing but they don't show up on the iPhone when it's complete. I think it's because they aren't installing themselves but how do I make that happen? Or is it another problem?
