Are betta fish active and interesting to watch?

Normally, are they active?
Do they normally swim around?
Or do they just sit there in one spot for a long time?

Also, do they make good, entertaining pets?

They are kinda active. They sometimes swim around. And when they sleep they sink down to the bottom and stop moving their fins. But they do make good pets. If you aren't too responsible they wont die instantly, they are tough fish and don't make the tank super dirty real quick. They can go for a very long time without eating too. But you can't put other fish in the tank with them. They will attack them. But males can be very pretty and colorful. Females? Not so much.

me and my best friend bought beta about 2 weeks ago and hers swims around its bowl all the time and mine does too sometimes but mine also just sits at the bottom alot of the time. we feed them both the same food so i think it just depends on the fish.
