are cingular/at&t and t-mobile phones interchangeable?

i am currently an at&t user and i'm looking for a new phone, i really like the sidekick, but it's from t-mobile. can i get one say off ebay and then use my cingular sim card in it?

Yes,You will do it.
Before put your Cingular sim card,Make sure your Sidekick mobile is unlocked one.If it's locked to other network,you will need to unlock it.For sidekick phone unlocking visit Prounlocking.com Here you can unlock your phone at low cost.Once unlock your mobile,you will be able to put your favor carrier when you need.I hope it will be very useful to you.
