Are current style cars still available a few years later?

I have been seeing the Toyota Prius & Chevy Volt around alot & really like them, but I just bought a house so a new car is not in the cards for at least a couple years.

I realize I would probably have to get a used one & am fine with that but it would typically be possible to find one - correct?
 
Of course.
In fact, in a couple of years, there will be more electric and hybrid options available and the one's you see today will be more readily available.
