Are DVD's going to be outdated soon?

I'm worried about it? I don't like the latest technology cause I have and need to but let me know that it is not?
 
there is no sign that it will change , dvd's arent very diferent from blu rays, they're enough(in my opinion)
 
They definitely will be eventually, but not until Bluray discs come down in price, which might happen in the next 5 years. But Bluray players will be DVD-compatible for a long time after that.
