I recently started texting this girl that I really like. I feel like I've played my cards right up to this point by playing hard to get. Now that Ive had her number for a couple days things have been going smoothly. Almost to smoothly. The texts we send back and forth to one another are very long as in several paragraphs. My best friend who happens to be a female told me this isn't good because she'll end up thinking of me as a friend rather than bf material. She advised me to try to shorten our conversation and avoid deep topics. Should I take this route? What's the best way to go about this while avoiding the dreaded friend-zone.
