Do famous actors have to be in SAG or AFTRA, and do you get more opportunities with being in the union. I don't understand the whole SAG concept, like if you only get cheesy jobs being non union. You have to be an employed actor to sign with them but yet they charge you 2,000 dollars? For what... just to say your in the actors union? So, thousands of people pay that money just to sit around and beg for jobs? Or is being in SAG a huge benefit to an aspiring actor. Someone please explain.
