I consider myself being a more privileged child than most but recently I find myself in the unusual circumstance of constantly being grounded for what I see as ridiculous reasons and they are just being overall unreasonable.
This is only 1 example out the the many that I could share that have occurred over the past several months.
1. I am not allowed to have a job even though I maintain an 80 average and finish school at 12pm everyday (I do not receive an allowance but they will give me a limited amount of cash to cover any expenses)
2. I had my car privileges removed after getting into an accident which was entirely not my fault as my car slid on the snow and hit another car. I was then grounded months after the accident over the incident when I not being a "ray of sunshine" when my mother asked my unemployed self to pull out $500 dollars to cover repairs on the already repaired car. So the grounded wasn't over the incident but rather over my attitude. I had agreed to it right away under the condition that I could get a job to pay it off because I felt incredibly bad about the whole thing but they bluntly said no. I'm still trying to figure out how they expect me to pay...
