What you call whining is better known as democracy. Only in totalitarian regimes, which foster an atmosphere of fear, is there felt the need to marginalize those who dissent from the government agenda.
Yeah, I'd say some are already there.
I was shocked last fall when this well educated lady (who happened to be socially liberal) said she was going to support Palin and McCain. She even said she was pretty much against everything Palin stood for but 'she seems like a nice woman'. Nice?! She used her own family for media coverage!
Unfortunately, their whining is causing some of the liberals to go crazy too.
Im neither democrat nor republican. Both do a great job of whining, but i think the republicans in this current situation are miles behind how much whining the democrats made in the 2000 elections.
Politicians are an incredible species of creature, because they all offer help and give you their ear and what you want to hear during their campaign runs but forget about you and everyone else till its time for re-election.
Who's whining? I see people confronting their so called representatives. The same "representatives" who didn't read the 1100 page $1.2 trillion "stimulus" bill. The same representatives who want to force a government run health care system down our throats. The same representatives who don't feel they should live under the same rules, laws, and government run programs they want to force on us. That's NOT whining, it's making your voice heard. It's being a responsible citizen.
