Okay, a lot of people regretted buying VHS after DVDs came out because really quickly their VHS became obsolete. Same thing is happening with Blu-Ray. Same thing happened with CDs as MP3s became more popular. So, in a way, getting the cutting edge technology is a risk (it's so new and unknown and pricey), but at the same time if you don't buy the newer stuff your old stuff becomes obsolete.
So, when do you think solid-state hard drives will take over? I don't want to buy a regular drive and then find out next year that no one buys them any more and that i'm *so last year*.
