are the "health risks" of soy real, and what is "raw" soy?

i've been hearing a lot about the risks of consuming soy, are these blown out of proportion or should i actually cut back on the chocolate soy-milk? also, what i've heard has been extremely vague what are these supposed risks?
i've ALSO heard that "raw" soy is free of health risks, what is "raw" soy as opposed to "un-raw" soy and what are some examples of "raw" soy?
is all this "soy is BAD!!!" stuff just nonsense or should i maybe give up the soy?
