are the iphone 3gs 8gb the same size as the 3gs 16gb?

i have an iphone 3gs 8gb and i keep on seeing on descriptions that they are for 3g 8gb and 16gb and the 3gs 16 and 32gb so thats y i was wondering
 
They look the same on the outside, but have different amounts of memory storage. The 3g and 3gs are different models though.
