...their ideas out? Thanks Kitty and Cath thanks for pointing that out, for any one else who doesn't understand, i mean brainstorming by thinking all the ideas out and basically having your entire story in your mind so you know exactly whats happening. I want to just write random!

BTW Kitty good luck with your book you could tell me the name and i might check it out!
i love writing, but i hate the brainstorming its so dull and boring, so are their any (as said above,) famous and/or successful book writers that didn't/don't brainstorm? Can i just write whatever down? I would really like someone to look up to so when i think my whole story is crumbling apart, i can think, "This person did it so why can't i?"
Also for extra points ( i obviously can't give them out but hopefully you know what i mean...)are you doing what i am? Not brainstorming at all? If so please tell me is it going well or is it hard and not worth it??

Thankyou for all you time and help!~

my book is being published in january and no im not famous (i WISH!) but i started out with a general idea in mind and just wrote my heart out. with the right balance of writing time and thinking time ended up with the book practically writing itself.

something that helped me a lot was to just read out the dialogue between your characters. when you know your characters well enough, you can anticipate their behavior.

im not famous or anything but that's my opinion.
good luck!

What do you mean by "brainstorming"?

Every writer has a different style. Use the one which suits you.

I have a two page outline and am writing from that. Since I have no idea what your precise definition of "brainstorming" is I can't answer whether I do it.
