My boyfriend and I would like to spend a week during our college winter break this year to travel to Puerto Rico. He has Puerto Rican heritage but was born and raised in the US so he's never gotten to see his native land, which I am very eager for us to do.
Most of the cruises we've researched do a Caribbean routing--that is, some of them include Puerto Rico for 12 hours up to a day of the ship docking at the port before they move on to other Carribbean islands like the Bahamas and St. Maarten's.
My question is, are there any cruises that only do Puerto Rico? Maybe with the exception of one other island? We want as much time as we can in Puerto Rico. We're choosing a cruise because none of us know anybody in the island who we can stay with, and we also don't want to be spending on additional hotel stays and food.
