...great-grandfather faught in WWI& WWII? I'm intrigued about finding out where and in which places my great-grandad fought in war (WWI & WWII) and I was just wondering whether there are any pages on the internet where you can look up information like that?

Many thanks,
any help appreciated!

Since he fought in WWI I will assume that he is dead. Therefore you can request his records from the personnel center, assuming that they have them.

you parents will probably have to fill this out, but you need to contact the VA. www.va.gov has a link at the top for requesting military records. i think you need form 108.

If you know the Units he was in, you can find webpages that give the hisory of those units.

You can get his DD-214 from the national archives.

But that will not tell you all the units he was assigned to, just the last one.

And it will not tell you where he was during the war's.

im not 100% sure but i would type into google the memorial, or names or ask for a list of names of people who fought in the wars. MAybe this might tell you. or type his name in and WW1 good luck
