Are there different handling techniques for extended back tire bikes?

I am buying a 2005 Ninja 500r with the back extended 8 inches. Is it harder to negotiate corners with extended back tires? If not what are other things I should know about before riding the bike with an extended back tire?

Not that I would know ...but it would only make sense that it will take a lot more physical effort to get one threw a turn. What may have taken only a turn of your head and finding yourself in a curve may now take pulling up on the outside bar ....or more!
