No. Notorious refers to someone who is specifically famous in a BAD way, for doing something bad, or being a REALLY bad person. Notorious people would be:

Ted Bundy
Hitler

and some of the celebrities these days who cant seem to behave themselves...
 
No, notorious usually refers to criminals. Bonnie and Clyde were notorious. Elvis was famous.
