Are torrents safe? And which sites are the most trusted?

I've had utorrent on my house torrent on my house computer and got my torrents from btjunkie.org. and my computer is all screwed up. Now I'm not sure if it's because of the torrents or other inter activities *wink* *wink* lol but i have a new laptop and I have norton working on it, but will downloading torrents screw up my laptop too? If not, which sites are best?
 
you never know if there are viruses or trojans in pirated stuff

and there are many many reasons why a PC can screw up. if you have a decent anti virus, viruses compose only a small percentage of the reasons why a pc screws up
 
Never heard of such torrent site

My comment would count illegal if I said the site names.
Google the top sites for that.
Also, anyone can load a Trojan in a torrent... You should know that.
It's up to you to get a good anti-virus.
