Are volvos good for teens?

I am going to get a car for my teen and I was wondering if a 2007 black Volvo s40 would be a good choice. I know they are safe and reliable but I was also wondering if they are considered cool cars for teens and would my teen like it? I will ask my teen but I thought I would ask here too.
 
They are solid cars, but they cost a lot to repair and maintain. Just keep that in mind. I would not say that they are cool cars though. Now a supercharged or turbocharged Cobalt SS would make your teen happy, but I wouldn't suggest giving a teenager a car with any power.
 
safe and reliable yes and the highest car to make repairs and up keep an dim sure the insurance would be triple that over a ford or chevy but i guess if your rich enough to buy a car for your kid it dont matter
 
Yes.. Volvo makes some of the safest cars in the world. Good quality too. If your teen doesn' t like it, I will gladly trade my 2005 Civic for it. :)
