I know that the trait for deafness is sometimes linked to a white color on many breeds who would normally not have so much white. They can also be more prone to allergies.
I know not all white dogs are deaf but... what do you think the chances are of getting a white pit bull with bilateral hearing?
There are so many white dogs up for adoption because the owners thought they were 'stupid' or stubourn, only because they were deaf. Do you think most white dogs are deaf and if so, should all white born dogs from many breeds who are not normally covered in white be given the BAER test for deafness at 5 weeks old before being sold?
